Latest Project
Mzamomhle blanket drive – Many families (some estimated 4000 residents) in the nearby Mzamomhle township were affected by the recent flooding caused by extreme wet and windy weather conditions this July. Community organisations and residents of Gonubie, as well as various state departments were all involved in the distribution of much needed food for the displaced who were temporarily accommodated in the community hall.
The Rotary Club of Gonubie felt strongly about giving back to this community, especially those most affected due to ill-health or old age. Warm, high quality blankets were distributed to the elderly and disabled members of the community, who were truly grateful for this gesture.
